Large players in the Window & Door market already confirmed participation in the 12th FESQUA


The biggest event in the segment has already had 90% of the space sold for the 2018 edition, year that should close with 91.4 thousand tons of aluminium processed for Window & Door.


São Paulo, February, 2018 – The 12thFESQUA – International Trade Show of Window & Door, Hardware and Components will be held only in September, but by January it had already sold 90% of the exhibition space. The main suppliers of this segment, stimulated by the good market prospects for aluminium, steel, wood and PVC, have guaranteed in advance stands in this one that is the biggest and most important event of Latin America in the sector, presenting trends in products and services.

According to José Carlos Noronha, consultant of the aluminium market, the year 2018 should total 91.4 thousand tons of aluminium processed for windows, doors and façades, with 2019 reaching an even more substantial volume, 97.3 thousand tons. Both were up 3 percentage points compared to GDP growth, demonstrating an undeniable warming of the sector.

Currently, Noronha estimates that there are about 4.8 thousand manufacturers of aluminium frames in the country. These manufacturers are fed by over 300 suppliers, such as extruders and profile dealers, manufacturers and component resellers, as well as suppliers of finishes such as anodizing and painting. Sales of these products last year moved R $ 4.55 billion.

Afeal – National Association of Aluminium Frame Manufacturers is the main supporter of FESQUA. “Since the first edition, we have recognized it as the country’s main trade fair and one of the most important in the international arena, always open to the demands of the sector,” said Fernando Rosa, general manager of the association. The executive highlights the choice to hold the 3rd National Meeting of the Aluminium Frame Industry during FESQUA for understanding that this is a great moment of sectorial convergence and a vector for promoting the association’s actions.

The celebrations of the 35 years of Afeal will make this edition even more special. “We hope to leave good memories with a series of events to be held, as well as the launch of the Collection of Works 2012/2015, an updated publication with the main works in frames and façades held in Brazil in that period.” In addition, according to Fernando Rosa, the Afeal booth will bring systems of the manufacturers applied in the “Casa Afeal”, which will show visitors the solutions of the associates in façades, windows, doors, rails and components.

The market figures of ASPEC PVC – Brazilian Association of PVC, PVC, and PVC Components Manufacturers are different, as their 170 associated assembly companies represent 4% of the Brazilian market. In absolute numbers, this is equivalent to 485,000 windows and doors produced per year based on 5,300 tons of profiles. Growth prospects for PVC frames are also very positive and should reach 12% of the market in 10 years.

“These numbers of aluminium and PVC show that the Brazilian market for window frames, fittings and components is in fact reheating. Suppliers need a strong and renowned showcase to stand out and leverage their businesses and FESQUA is the ideal place to do it, “says Luis Henrique Tavares, director of Revista Contramarco, the show’s director, commenting on the high demand for space this year.

Together with the 12thFESQUA, there will be two more events: the 11thFEITINTAS – Paints, Varnishes and Related Products Industry Fair, held by Sitivest – Union of Paints and Varnishes Industry of the State of São Paulo and focused on the real estate paint market, automotive and industrial refinishing, as well as complements.
