The same business growth assessment for 2018 is shared by the president of SITIVESP. According to him, the market for industrial paints, real estate, automotive refinishing and complements, went through the period from 2013 to 2016 without expansion in business. This year, however, we are seeing a small recovery and in the next we believe the move will be very good,” he said.
Narciso Moreira also highlighted the strategic planning work carried out by SITIVESP, which is allowing even closer approximation with ABRAFATI (Brazilian Association of Paint Manufacturers) and the definition of competencies that will be managed by each entity. We need to make the most of what the industry really offers.
Airi Zanini, president of ABTS (Brazilian Surface Treatments Association) and general director of Anion MacDermid Brasil, also points out that other segments of the economy such as real estate, appliances (white line) and furniture have also been presenting data with positive performances. For him, it is important that the surface treatment companies are in EBRATS, “to be able to discuss the innovations of the sector and show the market its novelties.
For exhibitor Milton Morais Silveira Júnior, executive director of Atotech, EBRATS is a great meeting where there is the opportunity to strengthen the company’s brand and have a closer contact with customers. We participated in almost all the editions and it is also a moment of fraternization for us,” he said.
During the launch event, the anthropologist Luiz Marins, invited by Cipa Fiera Milano to give a lecture on investment opportunities, presented to the businessmen present the competitive advantages of Brazil in relation to other countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Turkey and Russia . According to Marins, in the eyes of foreign investors, besides Brazil being among the 10 largest economies in the world, it is a place that does not have the problems present in those nations, such as ethnic or religious issues, border conflicts and language-related impediments. Investors are more interested in our economy, which has the best agribusiness in the world, for example, so we need to start preparing ourselves to get out of this crisis and see the opportunities that will arise,” he said.
